Rufus Wainwright announces 11-date tour (2010)

RUFUS Wainwright has announced an 11-date solo UK tour in April 2010.
The acclaimed singer-songwriter will be armed and dangerous with a piano, a microphone and his eagerly anticipated forthcoming album All Days Are Nights: Songs for Lulu.

15 – Glasgow, Royal Concert Hall
16 – Edinburgh, Usher Hall
17 – Sheffield, City Hall
19 – Gateshead, The Sage
20 – Birmingham, Symphony Hall
22 – Manchester, Apollo
23 – Bristol, Colston Hall
25 – Nottingham, Royal Concert Hall
26 – Oxford, New Theatre
29 – Ipswich, Regent Theatre
Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 18, and are priced from £50-£20 (London) and £45-£20 everywhere else.
2010 is already set to be a big year for Rufus following the news of his acclaimed debut opera Prima Donna coming to London (Sadler’s Wells) for a series of shows in April.
It follows Prima Donna’s celebrated debut performances at Manchester’s International Festival in July.
