42nd Street - Sheena Easton to make West End debut

TWO-TIME Grammy Award-winning singer Sheena Easton is to make her West End debut next year in the highly anticipated new production of 42nd Street, which opens at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on April 4, 2017, with preview performances from March 20.

Easton, who has sold over 20 million records worldwide, will play Dorothy Brock, a Broadway star who suffers an ankle injury on opening night.

She will be joined by Clare Halse (Gypsy) who will play the young Peggy Sawyer, the chorus line girl picked to replace the injured Brock in the fictional show Pretty Lady, and Tom Lister (Calamity Jane), who will play director Julian Marsh.

They in turn are joined by Jasna Ivir, Stuart Neal, Norman Bowman, Graeme Henderson, Christopher Howell, Mark McKerracher, Emma Caffrey and Bruce Montague.

42nd Street features the iconic songs We’re In The Money, Lullaby of Broadway, Shuffle Off To Buffalo, Dames, I Only Have Eyes For You and of course, 42nd Street.
