THE Lyric Hammersmith and Filter’s critically acclaimed production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is to tour the UK, opening at the Lyric for two performances only on April 13 and 14, 2018,

The production will then tour to Hull Truck Theatre, Theatr Clwyd, Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Exeter Northcott Theatre, Oxford Playhouse, Cast in Doncaster and Cambridge Arts Theatre.

Following a hugely successful run at both the Lyric Hammersmith and Royal Exchange Manchester in 2012, the production was revived at the Lyric in 2016 before touring to Brisbane Festival and Dublin Theatre Festival.

Described as a riotous reinterpretation of one of Shakespeare’s best loved plays, it now returns for a seven-week UK tour. Featuring original live music, this classic tale of young lovers and warring fairies is given a unique and irreverent twist.

Created by Filter and directed by Sean Holmes, A Midsummer Night’s Dream is designed by Hyemi Shin, with lighting by Oliver Fenwick and sound design and original music by Chris Branch and Tom Haines. Casting will be announced in due course.
