Back To Where - Jack Studio Theatre

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

NEW Tricks Theatre is presenting Back To Where, by Colin James, at the Jack Studio Theatre – from Tuesday, July 10 to Saturday, July 14, 2018.

Visa marriages aren’t meant to last forever, but English Jane and Aussie Will aren’t your average couple. In order to escape their various personal issues and the distractions of their daily lives, a well meaning Will plans a romantic camping trip … A camping trip that goes disastrously wrong.

Stranded and lost in the idyllic Welsh Countryside with no food, water or matches and losing daylight, Will and Jane have nothing but a few warm Bacardi Breezers and their own demons for company.

Back To Where is a dramatic comedy and is the first play by New Tricks Theatre, written by Colin James, based on improvisations by Vincent Andriano and Hannah Hawkins.

Writer Colin James, who also directs, has appeared in a variety of productions in theatre and film. He also manages The Faux Seasons tribute group to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons in which he sings the roles of Frankie Valli and Tommy DeVito.

Vincent Andriano has appeared in many theatre and film productions and will soon be appearing in Tim Burton’s Dumbo and Bohemian Rhapsody, produced by 20th Century Fox. He has written a YA fantasy fiction novel that he is presently editing in preparation for publishing.

Hannah Hawkins’ most recent credits include: Abigail in The Chainsaw Manicure at the Churchill Theatre, Cecily Cardew in The Importance of Being Ernest at the Tivoli Theatre, Hero in Much Ado About Nothing and Nina in The Seagull. She is currently writing a play entitled Monodogs based on the inner thinkings of canines.
