Casting announced for Yous Two at Hampstead Theatre

Casting news

CASTING has been announced for Georgia Christou’s Yous Two, which runs at Hampstead Theatre (Downstairs) from January 31 (previews from January 18) to February 24, 2018.

The line up includes Ali Barouti (as Fudge), Leah Harvey (Rachel), Shannon Tarbet (Billie) and Joseph Thompson (Jonny).

You’re always gonna turn into one of your parents aren’t you, it’s basically about choosing the one who’s slightly less mental.

Fifteen year old Billie has lived with her Dad in their little flat for as long as she can remember, but all that’s about to change. She’s got big plans – get Dad a job, sort out her grades, and live in a house with five bathrooms.

But one reckless night threatens to undo all her hard work and derail her ambitions…When it’s always been just the two of you, how easy is it to get out, or to let anyone else in?

Yous Two is a moving portrayal of the conflict between personal aspiration and familial responsibility, and what happens when those you should depend on need you more than you need them.

Ali Barouti, whose theatre credits include Goats at the Royal Court, has also appeared on screen in Tyrant, Patrick and Daytimer.

Leah Harvey’s theatre credits include The Tempest, Henry IV and Julius Caesar (Donmar Warehouse). Her film credits include Fighting with My Family, On The Road and Dustbin Baby.

Her screen credits include Rellik, Genius: Einstein, River, Virtuoso, Lewis, Inspector George Gently, Monroe and Silk (TV); Colette, Beast, Look Away and A Promise (film).
