Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

FUEL’S year begins with So Many Reasons, which will headline the Calm Down Dear festival of feminist theatre at Camden People’s Theatre (January 16 to February 3) before touring.

So Many Reasons considers generational divides, looking at the different ways mothers and daughters view female sexuality.

Fuel will produce the show, which is written and performed by British Ghanaian artist Racheal Ofori. Zoe Rafferty directs.

It follows the critical and commercial success of Racheal Ofori’s previous Fuel-produced show Portrait, which was performed at Calm Down Dear 2015, the Southbank Centre’s Women of the World and was broadcast on the BBC.

Following the CPT dates, the production will tour to Theatre Royal Bath (February 5), London’s Albany Theatre (February 7), Arena Theatre, University of Wolverhampton (February 9) and London’s Ovalhouse (March 6 to March 10). The production will also tour to Greater London schools with A New Direction from February 19 to March 2.

Further dates will be announced in due course.
