Great British Mysteries? - Soho Theatre

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

FOLLOWING a hugely successful sold-out Edinburgh Fringe debut last year, Great British Mysteries? – the sleuthing double act who are fast gaining a cult following – are coming to Soho Theatre to bring audiences five nights of spooky mystery-solving delight – from May 14 to May 19, 2018 (not 17).

Audiences are invited to join intrepid sleuths, Will Close and Rose Robinson, in this live mockumentary adventure investigating every cult phenomenon to have baffled the British public, from Jack the Ripper through to Noel Edmonds.

The main course of this ‘Mystery à la Carte’? The Loch Ness Monster of course! So, audiences had better bring their armbands because Olive and Teddy are jumping in at the deep end and straight into an endless stream of gags and conspiracy silliness.

According to press material, Great British Mysteries? is half sketch comedy, half TED Talk and half mystery thriller and combines supernatural investigation with a haze machine on full power.

Also at Soho Theatre: Justin Hopper’s new play Flutter, a funny and vivid exploration of everyday life, seen through the lens of an independent betting shop (June 11 to June 16, 2018).
