Seussical - casting announced

Casting news

FULL casting has been announced for the Theatre For Young Audiences Version of the colourful Broadway musical Seussical, which runs at the Arts Theatre from Saturday, November 30, 2013 to Sunday, January 5, 2014.

Joining the cast this Christmas are Ste Clough, who takes on the role of Horton the Elephant (played last year by David Hunter), and Elliot Fitzpatrick, who dons the famous topper and tailcoat to play the Cat in the Hat.

Also joining the cast are Jordan Veloso as Jojo, Shekinah Mcfarlane as the Sour Kangaroo and Alastair Crosswell, Benjamin Vivian-Jones and Thomas Lloyd as the mischievous Wickersham Brothers.

They join returning cast members Kirsty Marie Ayers (as Gertrude McFuzz), Jessica Parker (Mayzie La Bird), Amy Punter (Bird Girl), Jennifer Low (Bird Girl) and Tanya Shields (Bird Girl/Mrs Mayor).

Co-conceived by Eric Idle and based on the works of Dr. Seuss, Seussical has music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and book by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

Produced by David Hutchinson and Phillip Rowntree for Sell A Door Theatre Company Ltd, Seussical is directed by Kirk Jameson and designed by Richard Evans, with musical direction by George Bryan, lighting by Tom Boucher and sound by Chriss Bogg.
