Tango After Dark returns to The Peacock

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

DELVING into the world of authentic Argentinian tango, the intimate and sensual Tango After Dark returns to The Peacock from May 26 to June 13, 2020, following its successful run in 2018.

Presented by World Tango Champion German Cornejo, Tango After Dark is set to the rhythms of the great tango composer and bandoneon player, Astor Piazzolla

Accompanied by two singers and seven musicians playing Piazzolla’s Nuevo Tango, ten world-class Argentinean dancers keep audiences’ passion for tango burning deep into the night.

Sandra Castell Garcia, Executive Producer, commented:

“We are thrilled to bring Tango After Dark back to The Peacock after such a successful run in 2018. Including six world tango champions on stage and one of the most exciting bands from Argentina, this is tango at its best.

“It’s also a very exciting time for the show to return, as German Cornejo and I have established our company in the UK and have started a research period to bring audiences even more thrilling work, always under Cornejo’s excellent direction.”

Following its performances at The Peacock, Tango After Dark tours to The Joyce, New York, from November 24 to December 6, 2020, with further tour dates to be confirmed.
