The Golden F**king Years - Jack Studio Theatre

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

THE Golden F**king Years by Adrian McLoughlin runs at the Jack Studio Theatre from Tuesday, April 17 to Saturday, April 28, 2018.

Helen and Gordon spend their retirement on their Mediterranean balcony, reading and drinking gin, quite a lot of it. Both have moments of dissatisfaction. Is this life changing or merely boredom brought on by age and inactivity?

When a younger woman appears in their lives, their comfortable existence is blown apart in an unexpected fashion. Sex, alcohol and physical mayhem have dangerous repercussions for all.

A hilarious new play about getting old, moving abroad and the consequences of spontaneous behaviour, The Golden F**king Years takes a look at how people behave – and how others expect them to behave – as they age.

The cast includes Adrian McLoughlin, Deborah Maclaren and Anneli Page.

Adrian McLoughlin has been an actor for many years in film, TV, major tours, the West End and the National Theatre. The Golden F**king Years is his first play. He can currently be seen playing Stalin in the highly acclaimed film The Death of Stalin directed by Armando Iannucci.

Presented by Vital Signs Productions and Andrew Livingstone Productions, The Golden F**king Years is directed by Clare Prenton and designed by Chris de Wilde, with lighting by Ben Jacobs and sound by Jack Barton.

The Golden F**king Years is suitable for ages 16+.
