[title of show] - Above The Stag Theatre

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

WITH music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and book by Hunter Bell, hit Broadway musical title of show runs in the Studio space at Above the Stag Theatre from Wednesday, February 13 to Sunday, March 10, 2019.

Jeff and Hunter have a dream – and that dream is for their work to be selected for the upcoming New York Musical Theatre Festival. However, the submissions deadline is only three weeks away, and our heroes don’t actually have a musical to perform.

However, they recruit some friends and pull off the impossible when their show is selected for the festival. But that’s when the egos start to clash, and everything begins to unravel…

[title of show] was actually chosen for production by the Musical Theatre Festival and premiered there in September 2004, in New York City. It later ran off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre in 2006, earning a second limited run the same year, then played at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical.

Produced by Peter Bull for Above The Stag Theatre, [title of show] is directed by Robert McWhir, with musical direction by Aaron Clingham, choreography by William Spencer, design by Stewart J Charlesworth and lighting design by Jack Weir.

The cast includes Jordan Fox, Kirby Hughes, Michael Vinsen and Natalie Williams.
