Wicked announces 25th new booking period

WICKED, the hit musical that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, has announced the opening of its 25th new booking period on Monday (January 22, 2018). Over 500,000 new tickets are being released, with booking extended to Saturday, May 25, 2019.

Wicked recently became the 7th longest running show currently playing in the West End. Already the 15th longest running show in West End theatre history, Wicked has been seen by over 8.5 million people at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre and played almost 5000 performances.

Around the world, Wicked has won over 100 major awards, including ten theatregoer-voted WhatsOnStage Awards (winning ‘Best West End Show’ on three occasions) and two Olivier Audience Awards in the UK.

Wicked currently stars Alice Fearn (as Elphaba), Sophie Evans (Glinda), Bradley Jaden (Fiyero), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard), Martin Ball (Doctor Dillamond), Sarah McNicholas (Nessarose), Jack Lansbury (Boq), Laura Pick (Standby for Elphaba) and Carina Gillespie and Maria Coyne (Standby for Glinda).

Wicked will open a year-long UK & Ireland Tour at Bristol Hippodrome on January 31, 2018 and will subsequently visit Liverpool, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds, Dublin, Sunderland, Southampton, Cardiff and Manchester.
