For those who can't wait until August to hear them, however,
Elbow are offering fans the chance to hear a track from their
highly anticipated second LP, Cast of Thousands, which
is due for release on August 18.
The single, Ribcage, will be Elbows first foray
into the world of downloadable music.
Once again, by visiting the band's website and using the unique
interactive screensaver, fans can play demo versions of tracks
from the LP and gain access to video and audio tracks, as well
as the bands favourite websites of the moment.
Those of you who have already seen the screensaver will have
noticed that the member of Elbow in the 'studio' changes over
time, allowing everyone a chance to see their favourite member
in action.
Ribcage is said to build on the Elbow sound of the Mercury
and Brit nominated Asleep in the Back, and is described
as a 'hypnotic gospel mantra'.
The track will retail at 99 pence, and fans downloading from
the Elbow site will also be given exclusive access to some special
Elbow content.
Elbow will release a single, Fallen Angel, on August 4.
The LP, Cast of Thousands, follows on August 18.
