up great music than in the grounds of two of England’s finest
stately homes, on a lazy summer’s afternoon?
London’s Jazz Café prove they are experts when it
comes to delivering the highest quality music and atmosphere by
taking up summer residency in Kenwood House in
Hampstead on Sunday, July 10 and Marble Hill near
Richmond on Sunday, August 14.
The line ups are guaranteed to set music gourmands salivating
in anticipation of a feast of beats so get those picnic hampers

The Jazz Café Picnics are two all-day events open to young
people, music fans and families alike. They promise a live programme
of diverse but complimentary bands chosen for their talent and
exceptional ability.

Performing at Kenwood House
in July will be:
Lemon Jelly who’s delicious take on electronic
music creates sonic sparkles and swirls (album
review);
Nitin Sawhney will return after his hugely popular
performance at last year’s event (album
review);
Louie Vega is playing with his band Elements
of Life who profess to be 'dedicated to love, family, spiritualism
and social awareness by creating a brand of samba, salsa and soul
influenced music that celebrates life';
The Earlies with their big sounding psychedelic
rock and blissful multilayered harmonies;
RSL – Manchester based world music band
making their live debut.

The Marble Hill (Twickenham) line-up is as follows:
Röyksopp, Norway’s leftfield duo
who’s magical jazz-fuelled melodies who’s albums have
been heaped with critical acclaim;
Morcheeba, classy chill out (album
review);
The Herbaliser with their beat heavy blended
hip hop (album review);
Quantic Soul Orchestra - featuring Alice Russell
- a 9 piece funk, soul, Afro, boogie extravaganza;
K-OS, (pronounced chaos) who sings and raps over
his lush, instrumental driven hip hop;
Acoustic Ladyland, high energy punk rock jazz
who’s live sets unleash a hell bent funk fury.

Kenwood House begins at 3pm, while Marble Hill commences at midday
and tickets for both events start from £32.50.
Guests are allowed to bring picnics and drinks but can take advantage
of the onsite bars.
