PLACEBO are set to release a special edition, 2-disc, version
of their Sleeping With Ghosts album through Hut Recordings
on September 22.
Disc 1 features all the original tracks from the album, including
the singles The Bitter End, This Picture and their new
single, Special Needs, which will be released on September
15.
Disc 2 is a cover album that features songs as diverse as the
as-yet-unreleased version of Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill
and Serge Gainsbourg's The Ballad Of Melody Nelson.
The original version of the album is fast approaching 1 million
sales worldwide in only 4 months and has recently achieved gold
status in the UK.

Since releasing the original version of the album back in March,
the band have since embarked on the first leg of their world tour
taking Europe, the US, Australasia in their stride before setting
their sights on Asia in early 2004.
October brings another sold out European Arena Tour, culminating
in an 18,000 capacity sell out at The Bercy in Paris.
