Story by Paul Nelson
CHELSEA Theatre has announced that Patsy Palmer has been
cast in the world premiere of Squint, a newly commissioned
play from Tony Craze, directed by Sue Dunderdale at Chelsea Theatre
form September 22 to October 18. Further casting is to be announced.
Squint explores a world in which people are desperate,
and addicted to a belief that the answer to their desperation
lies outside themselves. Hugh looks for answers in fine art, booze,
and perhaps religion; Courtney in the thrill of cocaine and the
moment; Jack in the 12 steps of the AA programme; and Ruth in
the Anglican doctrine.
What they all really want is a miracle. Unlikely - unless, of
course, anyone believed in miracles, or found a bit of faith in
anything beyond the next hit.
