500 Days of Summer

500 Days of Summer – Trailer
Smart, sexy and funny – the cool and original (500) Days Of Summer comes to Blu-ray & DVD on January 18, 2010 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Staring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, this offbeat story reveals the highs and lows of an unravelling relationship. The realities of love are laid bare with ‘a fresh and imaginative sense of visual style, unlike just about every romantic comedy I’ve seen in the last twenty years’ (Nick Hornby). Thorny yet exhilarating, funny yet sad, this account of love and relationships is full of unexpected twists and turns. As is the case with many real-life relationships, it highlights that something of value can be salvaged, even when heartbreak and unrequited love may threaten to tear them apart.

The Boat That Rocked.

The Boat That Rocked – Trailer
The Boat That Rocked is an ensemble comedy, where the romance is between the young people of the 60’s, and pop music. It’s about a band of DJs that captivate Britain, playing the music that defines a generation and standing up to a government that, incomprehensibly, prefers jazz. In 1966 – British pop music’s finest era – the BBC played just 2 hours of rock and roll every week. But pirate radio played rock and pop from the high seas 24 hours a day. And 25 million people – over half the population of Britain – listened to the pirates every single day. The film is written and directed by Richard Curtis and stars (among others) Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy and Nick Frost. It’s released on DVD on September 7.
