Indiana Jones 4: First picture of Harrison Ford
Story by Jack Foley
IT’S the moment countless Indiana Jones fans have been waiting for – the first picture of Harrison Ford wearing that famous hat as filming finally gets underway on the fourth adventure in the series.
Steven Spielberg snapped Ford on the set of the new film earlier this week as the cameras started rolling in time for a worldwide release on May 22, 2008. It marks the first time since 1989 that Ford has donned the familiar costume.

After years and years of waiting, there doesn’t seem to be a day that passes without another Indiana Jones update – and so far, the news is all good!
The new adventure will be set in the 1950s and co-stars Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, John Hurt, Ray Winstone and Jim Broadbent.
Commenting on his recent casting in the film, upcoming star Shia LaBeouf told the film’s website: “To be cast in an Indiana Jones film is like grabbing the brass ring and holding on for the ride. I’ll do my best to meet the high standards that Steven, George and Harrison have set and I can’t wait to take that giant step in front of the Indy cameras.”
