BEER companies are doing it, so why not ice-cream sellers as
well?
Ben & Jerry's have decided to get in on the festival act
by announcing a one-day celebration of their own - the aptly-entitled
Ben & Jerry's Sundae on Clapham Common on Sunday, August 7.
The ice-cool music event will feature live sets from British
Sea Power, The Thrills, Alabama 3, Yeti and Zero 7 vocalist, Sophie
Barker, as well as a DJ set from Lemon Jelly's Fred Deakin.

What's more, fans can keep themselves
in the happy party spirit by indulging themselves in free Ben
& Jerry’s ice cream, which is being given out throughout
the day.
There will also be a number of stalls from charitable organisations
such as Trees for Cities and the World Wildlife Fund.
Ben & Jerry's Sundae is also designed to help raise funds
towards the regeneration of the Clapham Common bandstand.
Tickets cost just £5 and will go on sale from www.benjerry.co.uk
and Clapham Picture House from June 17, 2005. The event runs from
midday to 8pm.
