The Glaswegian rockers, who won this
year's Mercury Music Prize, will appear via a video link from
Mexico City, where they are currently on tour.
Celebrities including Lemar, Chrissie Hynde and Mick Hucknall
will also be at the gig performing the songs of Cole Porter, backed
by the Royal Philhamonic Concert Orchestra.
In what is proving to be a busy end of year for Franz Ferdinand,
the band will also release their first download-only single on
Monday, November 15.
This FFFire is a re-recorded version of the album track,
which will also be available as a remix by Playground's Trevor
Jackson.
