Story: Jack Foley
THE Carling Weekend Reading and Leeds Festival returns in 2005
with three rock giants confirmed to headline - namely, the Foo
Fighters, The Pixies and Iron Maiden.
All three bands will grace the twin sites of Richfield Avenue,
in Reading, and Bramham Park, in Leeds, between August 26 and
28.
Foo Fighters's UK appearance will coincide with the release
of their latest album, In Your Honor, while Pixies will
be looking to maintain the momentum they generated from last year's
successful comeback.
Iron Maiden, meanwhile, have promised to play the same set they
played at their last Reading appearance 23 years ago, which was
comprised solely from their first four albums.
