Story by Lizzie Guilfoyle
AFTER A run of seven months at the Theatre Royal Haymarket,
James Tod's production of When Harry Met Sally
will close at the end of its current booking period, on September
4, 2004.
An unsuspecting public first met Harry and Sally in the highly
successful film that starred Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, as the
friends-come-lovers attempting to answer the age-old question:
can a man and a woman be JUST friends?
It was adapted for theatre by Marcy Kahan, from Nora Ephron's
original screenplay.

At its world premiere on February
20, 2004, the lead characters were played by Luke Perry, still
well-remembered for his role in Beverly Hills 90210,
and Alyson Hannigan from the more recent Buffy the Vampire
Slayer and the American
Pie series.
Replacing them on June 2, were the present cast - Molly Ringwald
(pictured), a former high-profile member of the 80's Brat Pack,
whose films include Pretty in Pink and The Breakfast
Club; and Michael Landes who is, perhaps, best-known for
his role as Jimmy Olsen in TV's Lois and Clark:The New Adventures
of Superman.
He has also appeared on the big screen, in Hart's
War and Final
Destination 2.
Also in the cast, as Harry and Sally's best friends, Jack and
Marie, are Dexter Fletcher and Susannah Wise.
When Harry Met Sally is directed by Loveday Ingram,
with music from British jazz musicians, Jamie and Ben Cullum.
