MICHAEL Scott’s fantasy series The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel could become a new big screen franchise.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the producer who helped to get the Harry Potter franchise up and running as well as Transformers, has acquired the rights to the books, according to Variety.
The books follow the global adventures of 15-year-old twins Sophie and Josh as they team up with Flamel, the immortal alchemist of the title.
Scott intends to write six books in total, with The Alchemyst, The Magician and The Sorceress already published in 20 languages. A fourth book, The Necromancer, is due to be published in May.
