Jeremy Renner joins Affleck's The Town

THE Hurt Locker’s Jeremy Renner and Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively are the latest two star names to join Ben Affleck’s ensemble crime drama, The Town.
Based on Chuck Hogan’s novel, Prince of Thieves, the film follows a career criminal (played by Affleck) who falls in love with a bank manager (Rebecca Hall) after robbing her bank, unaware that she is also being used by the FBI agent (Jon Hamm) as bait in their attempts to catch him.
Renner will play a member of Affleck’s gang, while Lively will play his sister and a former love interest of the Affleck character, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Chris Cooper is also in final negotiations to join the film, which is due to begin shooting in Boston in September under Affleck’s direction.
