Jimi Hendrix movie in development
Story by Jack Foley
A FILM on the life of guitar legend Jimi Hendrix is being developed.
Variety reports that Thomas Tull, who has previously made the Hendrix documentary It Might Get Loud, is working on the project with his Legendary Pictures company.
A script for the film is being written by Max Borenstein, although rights to the musician’s songs have yet to be sorted out with Experience Hendrix, the estate run by the late musician’s stepsister Janie Hendrix.
There is no word on casting as yet, although previous attempts to develop Hendrix features have seen Lenny Kravitz and Andre Benjamin being mentioned as possible candidates.
