John C Reilly in talks for Red
Story by Jack Foley
JUST one day after Helen Mirren signed on to Bruce Willis vehicle Red, the comic book thriller has potentially gained two more cast members.
John C Reilly and Mary-Louise Parker are both in negotiations to appear in the movie, which is based on the three-book series from WildStorm/DC.
The film follows a former black-ops CIA agent (played by Willis) who is forced to come out of retirement when a high-tech assassin targets him.
Reilly would play a retired CIA agent who is paranoid that everyone is out to kill him, according to the Hollywood Reporter, while Parker would play Willis’ romantic interest.
Production on Red is due to commence in January on location in Toronto and Louisiana. Morgan Freeman also co-stars.
