Wall of Sound celebrate 10 years at Fabric

Story: Jack Foley

WALL of Sound, one of the UK's finest independent record labels, is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a special club night at Fabric on Friday, September 19.

The night is the latest stop on a world tour that has taken in a rooftop in Miami in March, Sonar in Barcelona, as well as playing host to Glastonbury's dance tent on June 28.

Entrance costs £12 (£10 NUS) and the night kicks off at 9.30pm, before coming to a close at 5am.

The line-up is as follows:

Room one - Wall of Sound present Jon Carter, Jacques Lu Cont, 2 Wall Of Sound Boys From Norway (dj set), Themroc (dj set) and the 12 Ball Experience - Wall Of Sound All-Star Band (live).

Room two will feature artists from sister label, Bad Magic, including Blak Twang (live), the Scratch Perverts, DJ Yoda & Dan Greenpeace and Vinyl Dialect (live).

While room three boasts The Heavenly Social, with Justin Robertson, The Boogie Knights, Nathan Detroit and The Heavenly Jukebox and special guests.

Mark Jones, of Wall of Sound, commented: "Ten years is a long time in anyone's book, let alone one with most of the pages missing."

From London, the Wall of Sound birthday celebrations travel to Liverpool's Chibuku on September 20, before rounding things off at Brighton's Boutique on September 26.

Fabric is located at 77a Charterhouse Street, London, EC1. For information, call 020 7336 8898 or visit the website using the link opposite.
