Catherine Hardwicke to direct Red Riding Hood feature

CATHERINE Hardwicke is to direct a Gothic re-imagining of the Little Red Riding Hood story.
The Girl With The Red Riding Hood will take the form of a werewolf movie that also revolves around a teenage love triangle. It is being written by David Johnson and developed by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way.
Hardwicke, who directed the first Twilight movie, is currently one of Hollywood’s most in-demand filmmakers as Variety reports that she is currently involved with a number of new projects, including a remake of 21 Jump Street, a new version of Hamlet, and new projects If I Stay and Maximum Ride.
