Karl Urban to play Priest villain

KARL Urban is to play an evil vampire leader alongside Paul Bettany in new post-apocalyptic horror thriller Priest.
The actor, recently seen as ‘Bones’ McCoy in JJ Abrams’ Star Trek reboot, will play a character named Black Hat, a former priest turned leader of a group of vampires who considers himself a god.
Based on a TokyoPop comic, Priest finds Bettany playing a warrior priest and vampire fighter who must team up with a sheriff (Cam Gigandet) and a warrior princess (Maggie Q) to hunt a murderous band of bloodsuckers who have kidnapped his niece.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Scott Stewart is due to begin directing the movie in Los Angeles next week.
