Katie Holmes lands The Romantics

KATIE Holmes has replaced Liv Tyler for indie romantic comedy The Romantics.
The actress will join a cast that already includes Anna Paquin, Josh Duhamel, Malin Akerman, Elijah Wood, Adam Brody and Jeremy Strong. She will also executive produce, according to Variety.
The film focuses on eight former college friends who are reunited for a friend’s wedding. Holmes will play the maid of honour to Anna Paquin’s Lila, the bride, who also has a past romantic link to the groom (played by Duhamel).
Galt Niederhoffer, who wrote the original novel, has adapted the screenplay and is directing on location in New York.
