Owen Wilson to voice Marmaduke movie

Marley & Me

Story by Jack Foley

OWEN Wilson is to provide the voice for rascally Great Dane Marmaduke, a new live action/CG movie from Twentieth Century Fox.

Based on a long-running comic strip by Brad Anderson and Phil Leeming, the film will follow the Winslows family as they move from Kansas to Orange County with their beloved pet dog Marmaduke, a “slobbery pooch who creates chaos wherever he goes”, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Judy Greer and William H. Macy have already been cast as the human family members, while further vocal support comes from Emma Stone, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Steve Coogan, Damon Wayans, Marlon Wayans and Fergie.

Wilson’s involvement continues his recent run of animal-themed movies, following the box office success of Marley & Me and his vocal guest spot in Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr Fox.
