Women
NEVER wear tights! If they were difficult to put on that morning,
it will be impossible by the 50th time you've pulled your legs
in and out of them.
How low do you go? Completely flat. There is a science behind
this - for every inch your heel adds to your height, deduct a
shopping hour.
Par example: 5 inches = 5 hours deducted (i.e. a whole shopping
day). In order to last as long as possible, wear flats.

Wear a flesh-coloured bra: This is good for the spectrum of colours
you my try on and any sheer fabrics so your bra can hide itself.
Avoid wearing chunky jewellery: it may snag on more delicate
fabrics and can generally get in the way of rummaging through
your bag to produce the cash on your spree.
Men
Layer up. This is extremely sensible as a cold street soon becomes
a warm shop, so you can remove and add layers accordingly.
Never wear gloves in shops. You can't pick up anything and may
be prone to breakages. Gloves also mean you cannot feel anything
or eat sweets.
Anticipate what you are buying: if you are jumper shopping, wear
a T-shirt, so you can try it on the shopfloor, to avoid the massive
changing room queue.
Tip: Take a drink; like a marathon runner you can stay hydrated
on the job.
